What types of sessions do you offer?

Whether you are looking for a relaxed portrait of your dog lounging in the sun, a vibrant family session with all your loved ones, or a playful pet + humans moment that captures real connection — we have you covered.

How long does a typical session last?

Sessions vary in length depending on the collection you choose. Our three starting tiers range from short and simple to extended and immersive — giving you flexibility based on how much time and storytelling you’d like. Each includes space for warm-ups, connection, and candid moments (plus play breaks for energetic pets). If you are unsure which fits best, we will help you choose the right option during booking.

Where do sessions take place? Do you travel?

We are happy to meet you wherever you feel most comfortable: your home, your yard, a local park, or another meaningful spot. We travel throughout the Greater Seattle Area (and beyond upon request).

Can I bring family members or friends to my session?

Absolutely! If family or friends will be included in the photos, pricing may adjust based on the package and group size. Support guests are always welcome at no extra cost.

How far in advance should I book?

We recommend booking at least 1-2 months in advance to secure your preferred date and time. For holiday seasons or special themed shoots, even more in advance is best. We’ll also keep you on our waitlist for easier date changes.

Pets + Safety

Are pets required to be trained?

We welcome pets of all energy levels. We will adapt to their pace, and we will often get the most genuine expressions when they are simply being themselves.

Can you photograph shy, anxious, or reactive pets?

Absolutely, we pride ourselves on patience, calm energy, and safety first. We will give extra warm-ups, incorporate breaks, and let your pet settle in. If your pet needs time or space, that’s totally okay.

What if my pet doesn’t cooperate?

We build our sessions around flexibility. We will take pauses, switch gears to people-solo shots, or find fun props/pet toys as a bridge. Our goal is relaxed, joyful moments, not forced poses.

Do you provide treats or should I bring my own?

We have some treats and toys on hand, but if your pet has favorite snacks, a specific diet, or unique reward they respond to, bringing them is helpful and encouraged.

Can my pet stay on-leash during photos?

Yes! If your pet is more comfortable that way, we will work with leashed poses and edit any visible leash afterward. Comfort and safety come first.

Are you comfortable photographing multiple pets?

Definitely. We enjoy the dynamic energy of multi-pet sessions. We will plan extra time so everyone gets comfortable and natural moments unfold.

Do you photograph exotic animals or farm pets?

We primarily photograph dogs and cats, but we are happy to work with exotic or farm animals as well, always prioritizing safety, comfort, and the right environment for everyone involved.

People + Family

What should we wear?

Choose outfits that feel like “you,” comfortable, and cohesive (think neutrals or soft tones). Avoid overly bright patterns, thin stripes, or large logos, as they can distract and do not translate well on camera.

Do you help with posing?

Yes, we help with posing, though our approach stays true to our philosophy. About 80% of each session is natural and unposed, letting real moments unfold, while the remaining 20% is guided with light direction focused on movement, interaction, and connection.

Can we include props or personal items?

Of course! Love the idea of including your pet’s favorite toy, a meaningful blanket, or something that tells your story? Bring it along and we will integrate it.

Do you offer maternity, newborn, or branding portraits?

Yes we do! Whether you are welcoming a new human, celebrating your business, or just capturing the pet/human bond in a stylized way, we can tailor a session just for that.

Deliverables + Products

How many photos will I receive?

The number of fully edited digital images you receive depends on the package you choose and can vary based on your session. We do not charge per photo or require you to pay for additional images. You will receive all of the strongest images from your session, fully edited and delivered in a curated online gallery where you can view, download, and share.

When will I get my photos?

You will receive your gallery within 2-4 weeks following your session. Need faster? We offer express delivery for an additional fee.

Do you offer prints, albums, or wall art?

Currently not at this time.

Do you offer retouching/editing?

Every final image is color-corrected and cleaned up. Basic retouching is included such as removal of major stray hairs. More intensive edits (like background replacement) can be added upon request.

Will I get digital files with print rights?

Your gallery comes with high-resolution digital files and a print-release allowing you to print and share freely. We just ask that credit be given when appropriate.

Pricing + Booking

What is required to book a session?

A signed agreement and 50% non-refundable retainer secure your date. The remaining balance is due on or before the session date.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept major credit cards, bank transfer, and PayPal. Payment instructions will be included in your booking confirmation.

What is your cancellation/rescheduling policy?

A signed contract and 50% retainer are required to reserve your session date. A session is not confirmed until both are received. The retainer is non-refundable if the client cancels.

Pet and Portrait Sessions
One reschedule is permitted if requested at least 7 days prior to the scheduled session date. The rescheduled session must occur within 60 days of the original session date and is subject to availability. Reschedule requests made less than 7 days before the session will be treated as a cancellation and require a new 50% retainer.

Brand and Event Bookings
One reschedule is permitted if requested at least 14 days prior to the scheduled date. The rescheduled booking must occur within 60 days of the original date and is subject to availability. Reschedule requests made less than 14 days before the booking will be treated as a cancellation and require a new 50% retainer.

If the photographer cancels due to illness, emergency, or unsafe weather conditions, the client may choose to reschedule or receive a full refund of the retainer.

Prep + Day-Of Tips

Should I groom/bathe my pet before the shoot?

A clean pet looks great on camera. A light grooming the day before keeps their fur natural-looking and fresh. Bring a brush for last-minute fluff if needed.

What should I bring to the session?

Your outfits, your pet’s favorite toy/treat, a water bowl, and any props you love. If you have multiple pets, bring separate leashes and blankets for quick transitions.

What happens if the weather is bad?

If weather conditions are unsafe or unsuitable for photographing, we’ll reschedule or move to an indoor or covered location as needed. Weather-related changes do not count as a client-initiated reschedule. Safety and comfort for you and your pets always come first.

Usage + Privacy

Can I share my photos on social media?

Please do! We love when our clients share their images. We would appreciate credit by tagging @liparumedia or a mention of your photographer.

Do you use our images for your portfolio?

We may include select images in our online portfolio or social feed. If you would prefer your photos not be used, just let us know.

Special Requests

Can you create custom concepts or themes?

Yes! We thrive on creativity. Whether you envision a styled shoot for your pet’s adoption day, a brand shoot with your business and companion, or a special-occasion celebration — share your idea and we will collaborate.

Do you offer event photography (birthdays, adoption days, celebrations)?

We love capturing milestone moments. We tailor packages for events large and small, including pet-friendly celebrations.
